3G/ UMTS/ WCDMA Training
3G/ UMTS/ WCDMA Training course provides an overview of UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+ evolution. UMTS is basically an umbrella term for the third generation (3G) radio technology developed in 3GPP.
UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) is also called the “Third-Generation (3G) Broadband”, facilitating packet-based transmission of text, digitized voice, video, and multimedia, at data rates up to and possibly higher than 2 megabits per second (Mbps). Hence, offering a consistent set of services to mobile, computer and phone users irrespective of their physical location in the whole world.
UMTS Training course will help the trainees understand the evolution from GSM to UMTS, the basics of UMTS radio communication, examine UMTS Radio Access Network (UTRAN), 3GPP release 99, 4, 5 , 6, 7 and 8, the UMTS Core Network, examine services in the UMTS core network environment, understand UMTS Protocols, services and security in the UMTS Environment, the overall system design, the network elements and functions of a complete UMTS network etc. Further the radio access and core network are discussed in detail, explaining the functions and services provided to the end users.
This course addresses the needs of engineers and technicians who are already experienced in mobile systems and will move to new tasks. This course provides technical platform for system developers and also for operation services, network planners and technical management.
